High Intensity Discharge

High Intensity Discharge Lamps split into 2 categories.

Ceramic Metal Halide Lamps provide a high level of light uniformity from lamp to lamp over their lifetime, they are ideal for colour critical areas. Metal Halide lamps offer excellent energy efficiency, crisp, white light and excellent colour reproduction.

High Pressure Sodium SON lamps are ideally suited where long-term economy rather than accurate colour reproduction is required - they produce a warm yellow colour.

Standard

Standard high pressure sodium SON-E lamps offering the unique combination of good colour appearance and high efficacy coupled with long lamp life.

Standard

Standard high pressure sodium SON-T lamps offering the unique combination of good colour appearance and high efficacy coupled with long lamp life.

CDM-T

With their elliptical arc tube the CDM-T lamps are more efficient and provide longer-lasting colour stability compared to the previous generation with cylindrical arc tube. The unique, one-piece elliptical arc tube construction provides highly efficient, brilliant light with best-in-class CRI and fast run-up.

CDM-TD

With their elliptical arc tube the CDM-T lamps are more efficient and provide longer-lasting colour stability compared to the previous generation with cylindrical arc tube. The unique, one-piece elliptical arc tube construction provides highly efficient, brilliant light with best-in-class CRI and fast run-up

CDM-TC

Ceramic metal halide lamps cater for the retail industry with their excellent colour stability through life and high efficacy.

Elliptical

Dual metal halide lamps give a white light and have high colour rendering ability. Tubular clear lamps are more commonly used in floodlighting applications, where as elliptical coated lamps give less glare and are more suited to industrial area lighting. These lamps are both Son and Mercury control gear compatible.

SOX

Low pressure sodium lamps, more commonly known as SOX lamps, have the highest efficiency of all discharge lamps. Light provided is monochromatic orange/yellow, meaning they have poor colour rendering and most objects appear as various shades of grey. The primary use for SOX lamps is in street lighting.
