Tri-rated wiring cable is a 105°C high temperature, flame retardant single core cable with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheathing, it is designed to be used in the switch control, relay and instrumentation panels of power switchgear, and for internal connectors in rectifier equipment, motor starters and controllers. As a result, it has applications in most industries.

Tri-rated Cable is sometimes referred to as BS6231 Cable or Panel Wire.
Construction: Flexible plain annealed conductor, heat resisting PVC insulated.
Standards: Certified to BS6231, UL Subj.758, CSA c.22.2 No. 127 (only applicable for sizes up to 120mm²)
Conductor: Class 5 flexible plain copper conductors to BS EN 60228:2005 (previously BS6360)
Standard Colours: Black, White, Red, Blue, Brown, Yellow, Grey, Orange, Pink, Purple, Violet & Green/Yellow
Voltage Rating: 600/1000 Volts
Temperature Rating: 90°C (105°C for 15,000 hours).
